He holds an MBA & MSc. in IT (Glasgow University) and a BSc. in Physics from the University of Patras.

We met with Panagiotis to discuss his work with Palowise and his personal journey. Here’s what he told us.

Tell us a bit about Palowise — how did the idea come about, and what made you realize there was a market need for your solutions?

The idea for Palowise emerged from a very simple observation: organizations were drowning in online conversations and investments but starving for real marketing insights. I kept seeing brands invest heavily in digital presence without having a reliable way to understand what people actually think, feel, and expect. Traditional research methods were too slow, and early social listening tools were too shallow.

I realized there was a clear gap for a platform that combines AI, data engineering, and deep analytics to turn unstructured online content/data into meaningful, decision-ready intelligence. That’s what sparked Palowise, a SaaS platform built not just to monitor conversations, but to create intelligence not only for the Greek market but globally.

What sets Palowise apart from similar solutions in the market? What specific value do you deliver to your customers and partners?

All the differentiating factors help us deliver more actionable insights to our clients and provide them with a competitive advantage:

What has been your biggest challenge so far — and how did you overcome it (or how are you addressing it)?

The biggest challenge has been balancing rapid technological evolution with a client growth base. In the AI era, everything moves fast: new LLMs and new expectations. But our clients rely on us for consistency and reliability.

We addressed this by building a strong engineering team, culture and a product roadmap that prioritizes both innovation and robustness. We release new capabilities only when they meet strict accuracy and performance standards. This discipline has allowed us to grow without compromising quality.

What are the most important lessons you’ve learned along the way?

Here are a few learnings that stand out:

  1. Technology alone is not enough: value comes from leadership, ethics, and problem-solving, not showcasing algorithms.
  2. Listen to your customers early and often: the best product decisions come from real-world use cases.
  3. Build a team that challenges you: growth happens when people bring different perspectives and push the product forward.
  4. Stay patient: scaling a deep-tech company takes time, especially when you’re building proprietary technology from the ground up.

As AI becomes better at interpreting human emotion and perception at scale, how do you see that changing the relationship between brands and consumers over the next five years?

We’re moving toward a world where brands will finally understand consumers not as segments, but as dynamic emotional profiles. AI will allow companies to detect shifts in sentiment, expectations, and cultural signals almost instantly. Emotion-aware AI will let brands be more helpful and human — but only if they pair capability with transparency, consent, and equitable design. Brands that strike the right balance will build stronger, longer-lasting relationships; those that don’t will face mistrust, regulatory issues, and reputational harm.

This will reshape the relationship in three major ways:

  1. Hyper-relevance: brands will tailor communication and experiences to real dynamic emotional states, not static personas.
  2. Proactive engagement: companies will anticipate issues or opportunities before consumers articulate them.
  3. Higher expectations for authenticity: as brands become more “emotionally intelligent,” consumers will expect them to act with greater empathy and responsibility.

In short, AI will make the relationship more human, and at the same time, it will also raise the bar for how brands behave. Emotion-aware AI can make brand relationships more meaningful and useful — but only if transparency, consent, and ethical design are core, not optional.
