Marco Veremis - Every leader would be wise to "walk" on the values of Aristotle
Marco Veremis, Chairman of SEV's Innovation Committee and Partner at Big Pi Ventures shares his thoughts on what defines effective leadership today.
According to Marco, leaders steer people forward and through their team’s success they also grow personally and professionally.
He discusses the concept of the effective team drawing conclusions from the elite military unit Sacred Band (Ieros Lochos) of ancient Greece.
He also explores the notion that leadership is a privilege, but also an obligation to constantly improve oneself. To this end, every leader would be wise to 'walk' on Aristotle's values: courage, empathy, fairness, and measure.
The speech was given at the 35th Leadership Conference of the Association of Chief Executive Officers (ΕΑΣΕ), held on 7 & 8 June 2024
